Under construction

Many recent Jensen PLUS planning projects have reached the construction stage, with 2018 the year of delivery for several exciting new buildings for which Jensen PLUS secured development approval.

U-City, Adelaide’s most exciting mixed-use building, under construction this week

U-City, the exciting Uniting Communities redevelopment on Franklin Street, Adelaide is well under construction. This 19-storey building will be one of the most mixed-use buildings in Adelaide, incorporating specialist disability accommodation, unique city retirement living, office, hospitality and community spaces.
Thanks to planning approval secured in 2017, St Mary’s College on West Terrace is also moving forward with a major expansion that includes an entry pavilion adjacent to the historic Boylan Building and a new building comprising a gymnasium, art department and Year 12 hub.
Approval has been secured for the City of Port Adelaide Enfield’s new multi-purpose Indoor Recreation Hub at Lightsview. This hub will serve as an important recreation and gathering space for the inner northern Adelaide region.
The Rundle Mall Plaza redevelopment (see previous article) is also under construction on Rundle Mall.
Only this month we attended the opening of Stage 2 of the fabulous Minda redevelopment at Brighton which includes more new Minda resident accommodation in the form of 18 dwellings and two apartment buildings, a  lifestyle precinct accommodating Minda’s day facilities, and the second stage of the Brighton Dunes retirement apartments.
Jensen PLUS are very proud to have assisted Minda from the preparation of their master plan through to the delivery of this second stage. The transformation of the site has been amazing and we love hearing the stories about how much residents love their new accommodation.
Seeing the results of hard planning work becoming built projects is one of the most rewarding parts of planning and we are all looking forward to the completion of these projects over the coming months.
