Daniel is an experienced strategic designer, landscape architect and urban designer with nearly 20 years’ experience. Initially from Sydney, he relocated to Edinburgh, Sydney, Suzhou, and since 2004, has worked on many projects in his adopted home of Adelaide in public and private practice.
His work is multi-award winning, and he has delivered a range of large projects. He has shaped small projects as well as worked in teams, and in teams of teams. His recent role as the leader of Strategy and Design at the City of Adelaide saw him creating new and relevant urban design strategies, including the Adelaide Design Manual, the city’s new blueprint for streets and public spaces from idea through to construction. He led, reformed and reshaped the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects, as Chair and President in AILA’s 50th year.
