Glandore Character Area Protection Code Amendment

The City of West Torrens Council initiated the Code Amendment to amend an anomaly in wording within the former Development Plan that was adopted into the Planning and Design Code. This anomaly would allow eight sites along Anzac Highway and adjacent to the Glandore Character Area to be constructed up to eight storeys in height.

The Early Commencement Code Amendment was required to reflect the long-standing view held by the Council and its community to protect Council areas of valued character and historical context from new developments.

Jensen PLUS created SketchUp models to inform the community what was currently permitted and what the Code Amendment outcome would be to provide a transparent process.

Jensen PLUS worked with the Council and their engagement team to undertake this delicate Code Amendment.
