Moorundi Health Centre

Since late 2023 Jensen PLUS has been working with Phillips/Pilkington Architects on a brand new health clinic for Moorundi Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service Inc., located in Murray Bridge.

The key objective of the project is to deliver a modern integrated primary health care facility that offers a range of Ngarrindjeri health services in one inviting and comfortable location.

Jensen PLUS facilitated a smooth development approval process through a collaborative approach, ensuring the application aligned with the Planning and Design Code. The development application was lodged within one month of the project’s commencement.

Our team also provided comprehensive landscape architecture services, including concept design, detailed design, and documentation. Stakeholder and community input - gathered through a co-design workshop process - was critical in shaping the proposed development.

The landscape design emphasises biophilic principles, enhancing patient care by promoting interaction with the natural environment. The use of native plants, in consultation with local growers, and the integration of Aboriginal design elements, such as a boomerang seat, highlight the design’s cultural significance. Securing carbonneutral proprietary furniture further enhances the project’s sustainability.
